TRAINING BACKGROUND

SKILLS COACH DEVELOPERS has been providing firearm training to the public since early 2006 under the flag of Persas Protection cc trading as Persas Training. Two years later we registered for all security training skills programs with the SASSETA.

Skills Coach Developers now offer training solutions to the public services sector, private security companies and individuals who would like to qualify and prepare them and their employees for a career in the Security Industry locally and in the Southern African Region.

We are a SASSETA accredited Security Training Service Provider and all our training programs are registered skills programs.

Training programs and skills courses are conducted at our Training Centre in Pretoria and we can assist in all training requirements nationally through our training affiliates.

The following registered skills programs are available as short term courses:

⦁ Patrol Security Officer (SASSETA E) – Grade “E” PSIRA

⦁ Access control Officer (SASSETA D) – Grade “D” PSIRA

⦁ Asset & Reaction Officer (SASSETA C) – Grade “C” PSIRA

⦁ Management courses (SASSETA B and SASSETA A) will be available as soon as the SASSETA training material is finalized for this purpose.

The following courses are available as a Learnership/ Skills program in either a full course or RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning):

⦁ NATIONAL CERTIFICATE: General Security Practices

NQF Level 3/4 (The qualification is equal to a national certificate from a higher education and training practice)

⦁ FET CERTIFICATE: Specialist Security Practices

NQF Level 4/5 (The qualification is equal to a national certificate from a higher education and training practice)

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT

Recognition of Prior Learning Assessments are conducted for all SASSETA course E, D & C in order to assist in the conversion process from the PSIRA grading system to the new skills programs that needs to be implemented by security companies.

OTHER PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

⦁ SKILLS COACH offers a SASSETA accredited Quality Management System (QMS), learner materials and relevant training support;

⦁ In-house certification and registration of our customer’s learners with the relevant SETA and submission of all learner registration and achievement documentation to the SETA;

⦁ Liaison with the SASSETA and PSIRA with regards to Skills Development and registrations on behalf of the client;

⦁ Assistance and support with regards to the SASSETA accreditation process. This include completion of applications, documentation submission, liaison with the relevant SASSETA personnel and professional assistance to comply with minimum requirements for SASSETA accreditation;

⦁ Registration of companies and individual security officials as security service providers at the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA);

⦁ We offer the services of a qualified Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) to assist and guide business owners in the submission of Workplace Skills Plans and Equity Reports for the purpose of SDL levy grants from SASSETA;

⦁ Accredited moderators for internal and external moderation services and accredited assessors to assist with training in SASSETA Skills Programs;

⦁ Safety and security risk analysis and advisory services by experienced advisor.
